putting it all together

Initially, I had my figures with just shades of red, yellow, orange overlaid on them. But I felt it could be more bold and 'explosive' so I used images of fireworks to overlay them as well which I think works really well. Because it doesn't take too much attention away from the rest of the scene because the opacity has been lowered but it does add a little more to them.

Like the contrast between the black and white photocopies and the hand-drawn colour.
I was a bit stuck with what to have behind all the buildings and figures. But I looked through all the photocopies I gathered from earlier and found an interesting satellite view of a mountain which has really intense colours

Thought this would work well with the atmosphere I want to create - very energetic, colourful, mad, rhythmic.

I decreased the opacity so it wouldn't take too much attention away from the rest of it, I want it to fit in.

I'm not sure these textures work too well, they aren't very prominent and make it seem a little too convoluted.
I took the circles from the first building sketch I did, and I feel they work really well, they create a line of sight from the character 'Sal' shambling along to his 'mad' friends.

I took a photo from the 'On the Road' film of the actor who played 'Sal',  I think his duller colour and lack of 'madness' adds more depth to it, and relates more tot he quote.
