I really enjoyed using collage in my CoP project, and scanning in photocopies to then add colour on photoshop, I think it adds a really nice texture.
So I got a load of nature books out the library to scan in images of trees, mountains, textures etc. because I feel this book is about connecting with the natural world as well as rejecting conformity. So I want to involve a lot of natural imagery in my work.
Although I don't feel this all works together very well, I liked making it.
I like the bold contrast on the sky and the mountain, their both such different colours and textures that they really clash but I think it kinda works. It makes it quite surreal and anarchic.
I would like to involve some hand drawn elements into my collage, but the truck definitely doesn't work. Neither does the road.
I did this working from the quote
"there was nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars
I would need to play a lot more with the composition. Maybe if the road and car was a lot smaller, making the sky seem a lot more immense and impressive.
